When I open a web page in Firefox, the sound is much too loud. My speakers don't have a volume control. Is there a simple way to control volume in Kubuntu?
I've just moved to (that is I'm trying out) Kubuntu from the gnome version.
This post partially answers the same question I have about volume control. However, are there any global keyboard shortcuts that will adjust the volume?
The way Kmix seems to work, I can set some keyboard shortcuts for volume up and down, but these only work when I hover my mouse over the Kmix icon. If I have to use my mouse, I don't need the keyboard shortcut, I can just use the mouse wheel. Is there a way to do this with the keyboard only?
