Hi,
I've got a Dell subnotebook Latitude C400 running Kubuntu Dapper and as I want to use it only on the go, obviously I'm trying to max out the lifetime of my battery. Right now, it's about 1hr40min - I can't tell for sure, the battery monitor seems to skip and jump at times.
In the process of solving another problem, I came across the process table that can be called up by Ctrl+Esc. Now, I've seen some obvious candidates for stopping, processes I don't usually need like Katapult and some others. But it would be kind of superfluous to deactivate those now if they'll be reactivated at the next startup.
Therefore, my question is, how can I set those processes to not start when I boot up?
Thanks a lot!
