I have really wanted to use Kubuntu for a while, but I have had non-stop problems. I fought for a week straight to get the wireless card to work, and now I cannot get the updates and upgrades to work. Every time I try to select an update, it says it cannot commit the update and would break. I have searched the entire internet, and nothing is helping. I am getting extremely angry, and I would like to resolve this ASAP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run the folloowing at the command line.
Then run>Code:sudo aptitude upgrade -f
ThenCode:sudo aptitude update
Code:sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

I got this finally working, but I wasn't able to find any help on the web. After the millions of things I tried off the web, nothing worked. I went out on a limb, however, and enabled ALL the repositories in Adept. And, IT WORKED! Just in case anyone else is having trouble with this, try enabling all the repositories.Comment
