how do I make the desktop show how much battery do I have left on my computer?
I have tried Settings >> Power Control >> Laptop Battery. When I open it it shows that all the settings needed are turned on, but I also get this message
Your computer seems to have a partial ACPI installation. ACPI was probably enabled, but some of the sub-options were not - you need to enable at least 'AC Adaptor' and 'Control Method Battery' and then rebuild your kernel.
can someone please tell me what should i do so I can display the battery status? Sorry if I am being "too Windows" but thats where i come from and I am very new to Linux
