I've installed Kububtu on two separate machines. The first one reads windows base CDs or USB drives fine. On my second computer I get an error message saying "internal error" when i try to access the drives. Kubuntu mounts and detects the drives fine. I only have this problem when trying to access it.

can it read other cd's like regular audio or file cds. -

Yes, I was able to play and rip an audio cd.
Since it was a new install and didn't really have much time to completely customize it. So, I just reinstalled Kubuntu and it was able to read my USB drive. Hopefully that won't change after I finish getting all the updates and drivers.Comment
