Network configuration issue - Hanging at boot

I have 6.06.1 running on my box. I had been using wlassistant to connect to my wireless router. Went into System Settings -> Network Settings -> and setup ra0 to activate during boot. Now, it won't load beyond network configuration during boot. I'm on the machine now using a live disc. Any advice? I don't mind mounting the hard drive and editing a file manually if necessary. I'm sure it will be needed. A prompt reply would be very appreciated.
