AOL?!

i am unfortunatly plagued with dial-up, specifically, AOL.

Is there any way to make AOL or to dial to AOL within Kubuntu.

i have a toshiba satellite laptop and i believe it has a software modem thing,

is it even worth trying to get this to work , or should i just surf in windows XP (yuck) until i can use a different connection such as travelling to the library or a restaurant that has wifi.

If your laptop has a winmodem, your best bet is to get an external modem that connects via ethernet. I was able to connect to AOL broadband using an external ADSL/ethernet/wireless router.
