There is a significant lag in Amarok whenever I tell it to do anything (edit a tag, skip track, stop, etc), but this lag does not appear in any other application. Here are some things I have done to modify my installation that I think could have potential to effect this:
- Install, and run a SuperKaramba theme that displays the current track playing in Amarok. This, however does not effect any other application, so it seems unlikely to me that this is the culprit.
- Significantly increased my library size (it is now 5500 tracks). Is Amarok sluggish when working with libraries of this size?
- Attempted (unsuccessfully) to configure my system to work with my MTP mp3 player. I have gone through guides on both the Ubuntu forums, and Amarok web sites.
If you have any tips, I would greatly appreciate them!
