I have tried to install add-ons to my firefox (now 2.0.2, but I had the problem with 2.0.1), but they all say they are not compatible. When I tried to uninstall one, specifically del.icio.us, it said I need to restart firefox for the change to take effect. I closed firefox, made sure the process wasn't running, and restarted. But it still says "will be uninstalled when you restart firefox." I had a similar problem when I tried to install add-ons (would always say "will be installed when you restart firefox.") but eventually I would get it to a point where it would just say that they are incompatible. They are extensions that I know work at my home computer under gentoo (adblock-plus, del.icio.us, some others).
I just tried installing adblock-plus again, and now it's back to that whole "will be installed when you restart firefox" even after I pressed the button to restart firefox.
