Well,
After unsuccessful attempt to install / boot of live CD w/ 5.10 did get installation started with 6.06. Default install would lead to frozen black screen, but did find out that both
"install-powerpc64 video=ofonly" and "oem-powerpc64 video=ofonly" work. After fumbling through setting up partitions on an external FW HD everything seems to go smoothly, except I eventually get a message about yaboot failing to install (happened twice). When I go ahead finish the installation without fixing the yahoo problem (don't know how - hence this post) I'm left with a unbootable installation. I'd appreciate any help/work-arounds. Thanks.
