I have an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG (rev 05) in my notebook. It works fine when ever I am running with my notebook plugged in but if I take it with me and boot it up using battery power, the signal indicator light never turns on. I can toggle the wireless device on and off with the slider on the side of my notebook but nothing can get the thing to turn on. I've tried to use the Wireless Assistant in Kubuntu and the KNetworkManager software to enable it, but nothing works. In fact, even when I reboot it with the thing plugged in, it doesn't recognize it. The only way I got it to work last time was by booting into Windows and then coming back into Kubuntu. I'm sure there is a better way. Anyone have any suggestions?
