    Sharing made difficult with NFS

What is the point of having a gui which apparently supports sharing via NFS and not have one line of documentation anywhere either on Kubuntu.org or on KDE.org which explains how to use it?

Does it actually work? Does anyone actually use the gui to organise their sharing between kubuntu boxes?

Never used it. It's not hard to set up nfs though manually. Make sure you have portmap installed though.

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install portmap nfs-kernel-server
There's a good guide here that has worked wel for me in a hetero environment of new kubuntu boxen with old redhat machines: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SettingUpNFSHowTo
Dont pretend you havent noticed my cardboard box, Julia, because I know you have!

I wasn't moaning about not being able to set up nfs, (I followed this guide - http://nfs.sourceforge.net/nfs-howto/ - and it works fine), I was moaning about not being able to use nfs from the gui.

I'm over it now. Back to moaning about the weather.
