    Read Kubuntu drive on XP?

I read this post and many of the similar threads in this subforum, but I'm still not sure how to have my Windows machine read my Kubuntu drive. http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=8213.0

I read about ext2ifs as well, but it doesn't seem to work if the drives are networked rather than connected to the same machine.

When I go to System settings > Sharing, I am unable to edit the File Sharing section. Even in admin mode, the options there remain unchangeable.

I want to access FAHlog.txt in my /home/foldingathome/ via my Windows box so that Electron Microscope 3 can track the work unit progress.

How can I get read access to my ext3 drive over the network via my Windows XP SP2 box?

Simple.. Linux blocks WinDO$, but Linux can break WinDO$..

To read a Linux drive you need to set it up, however for Linux to read Windo$ is cake.

Ok.. Stay with me, I've only a high school education...

You KNOW to map a Windows resource you need a password/user name.. Linux is the same except for x4....

also, ext is not normally supported to WinDO$.. Linux can read EVERY file system out there, from Mac OSX, to DOS 3.11.. However Gates does not want his boxes to do the same..

Save yourself some headaches, and email it to yourself.. You can setup a cron to email it every 30 seconds/minutes/manually....

    Gates blows.
