I am trying to setup file sharing on multiple computers running Kubuntu Dapper Drake 6.06. After reading many postings in this forum, I follow this procedure to share folders:
Run kcontrol
Click Internet & Network
Click File Sharing
Click Administrator Mode and supply the password
Click Enable Local Network File Sharing
Click Simple Sharing
Click Allowed Users
Select Allow all users to share folders
Click OK
After taking these steps, on the one machine when I right click a folder in konqueror, the "share" option appears as the last item in the menu.
When I do the same thing on the other machine, the "share" option does not appear. 
On the machine where it doesn't appear, if I click "properties" and select the "share" tab, I see only a "Configure File Sharing" button. When I click it and supply the password, I am placed back in the screen that allows me to setup sharing, and according to that screen, sharing is already enabled.
Incidentally, I have rights to the folders I'm trying to share on both computers. I also have samba configured the same way on both computers.
Is there another setting somewhere that I've missed on the one machine?
