Hy there,
i configured samba and i have full access from my windows xp to samba with the user, i configured the first time i installed kubuntu.
Now i want to configure a new user.
I added the user with "sudo kcontrol" in the system-section.
Then i added the user with "sudo smbpasswd newuser".
The password is the same as in the windows-client.
I created a subdirectory /home/public and gave rights there "sudo chmod 777 /home/public"
The first user and the newuser are members of the group users.
In the smb.conf file i created a line like "force group = users".
If the newuser will access to the sambaserver, he will be asked to give username and password but there is no chance to get access.
The firstuser hase no problems like this.
Where is the problem with newuser?
Regards...
