How to Connect to internet using KPPP

I cant connect to internet using V92 serial modem with kppp.
it disconnects immediatly. I changed configurations but the problem still exists.
what must I do ?

try looking in help file. it may show u that u have a password authentication fault. it shows how to correct fault.

Could you give more detail when you say it disconnects immediately?

Is it trying to dial out and then failing?

Do the modem lights blink or sounds occur which suggest that the modem is active or do things never get this far?

Click the kppp link for your connection, as you normally would to dial up, and then click configure modems and then edit the modem on the list. Then under the modems tab there should be a query modem button. Click query modem. Is the modem detected at this point and giving you a screen about the modem, checksums etc?

Also in the main kppp window when you click connect, to dial out, there is a checkbox for bringing up the log window. Check this box so you can get feedback when dialing out and tell us what you are seeing and how far the dial out process gets.
