Wifi and NDiswrapper problems on Toshiba Satellite Pro L10

I am a Linux Newbie and installed Kubuntu 6.06 Drapper on my Toshiba Satellite Pro L10.

My Wifi card was not detected by Kubuntu.

    Therefore I installed ndiswrapper.

According to the Ndiswrapper compatibility list
    http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...index.php/List
I should use the driver that comes with the Toshiba CD which is a friver called neti2220.inf.

When I try to install the driver with
    sudo ndiswrapper -i neti2220.inf
    it says
    Installing neti2220

When I then check the installed drivers with
    ndiswrapper -l
    I get
    neti2220 invalid driver!

I then tried to download other neti2220 drivers, e.g. from the ACER website. Same result.

I also tried downloading the drivers recommended on the Toshiba website, a driver called w29n51.inf. Same result.

On WinXP the neti2220.inf driver works fine.

Can anybody help? Has anybody installed Kubuntu successfully on a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 including Wifi?

    Cheers
    Thomas

You do not mention the .sys file. When installing windows drivers using ndiswrapper, you need to files: the .inf and the .sys files.

Put them in the same directory on your linux system and then try your ndiswrapper -i [filename].inf again.
