    knetwork, WPA and Ralink RT2500

Hi I have recently installed Dapper on my Acer Travelmate 290LCi which is fitted with a Ralink RT2500 wifi interface in the pcmia slot. This is because the built in intel wireless circuit has had a hardware failure. I can connect to WEP and unsecured wifi networks using the Wireless Assistant etc, but for WPA it seems I need knetwork.

Problem is that knetwork cannot see my Ralink, but does still see the Intel. If I attempt to use knetwork to connect to a WPA secured wifi.. it goes through its procedure and finishes with a (suprise suprise) configured but inactive intel pro wifi connection.

If I run nm-tool on a console I get the following...

    strong@strong-laptop:~$ nm-tool
