    Internet?

    So, my problem is:

I have a Kubuntu Dapper Live CD

And When i boot from it, fair enough, I just can't seem to get my Wireless Internet working.

My Wired connection is through an inventel Livebox, which is wired to a Windows XP Home edition Comp, This one is a Windows MCE 2005 Running KubuntuDapper Live CD.

Whenever I open Firefox, or Konqueror it just says
    Code:
    urlCould not be found

My Wireless Adapter is: Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter

Please help - otherwise this may discourage me from Kubuntu Too Sad

    Re: Internet?

    Try to go to:
    Kubuntu/System Settings/Internet & Network/Network Settings Dialog:

then click on Administrator Mode button, choose your wireless network interface and set all the options (ip address, gateway, etc....).

Then enable the chosen interface and wait for Kubuntu to reload network settings.

Also, If You want to use wireless interface, You have to bring down wired interface first. You can do this from Kubuntu/System Settings/Internet & Network/Network Settings Dialog or from the konsole:

    sudo ifconfig eth0 down

If You have any more questions come back and ask.
