How do I setup WLAN (I = Beginnerrr)

Hi! I'm back to Linux again after several month since my last try which didn't go very well at all. This is the first time using Kubuntu and I just installed it without any problems.

But how on earth am I setting up my wireless LAN? I'm using a Netgear WGR614 router with the following USB Device, WG111 v.2.

I tried just plugging the USB device into the computer hoping that would be it but that of course didn't work ;-)

My Linux skills are about zero and I don't have a clue were to start. Can someone please help me? I really really want to be familiar with the Linux world.

Cool. I will check it out. Let me se if I got this correct, ndiswrapper is a "program" that lets you install Windows network drivers on Linux, isn't it? I remember having some difficulties with ndiswrapper in Suse last time I tried Linux. I hope the guides will help me through this.
