Kubuntu Dapper Drake performs very well on my Acer Aspire 3620 laptop. The WIFI connection ran immediately after installation and survived several upgrades over a period of a couple of weeks through ADEPT. Today I performed an upgrade and now my ath0 WIFI is undetected .
Please help me fix this problem. Thanks

It seems that the kernel upgrade installed along with the other upgrades causes the problem. The 2.6.15.25 kernel left out the Atheros drivers. There is not yet a restricted modules upgrade for the new kernel that adds the Atheros drivers.
A sloppy fix is : By pressing ESC during bootup and entering GRUB one can choose a previous kernel and WIFI is immediately available. There seem to be other hacks to fix this, but nothing that seems to relate to my Atheros onboard WIFI.
Is this really an 'upgrade" when it takes you backwards?
