I need to use the adept package manager over a proxy. can anyone tell me how to configure this?

You can do it in systemsettings > connections > proxy
Then adept should take this values and be able to connect.

Didn't work - the packages that installed off the Live D show green everything else is grey.
I tried the command line apt-get after fiddling with the /etc/apt/atp.conf and that didn't work either, nor did setting the environment variable http_proxy.
Sigh. Dapper is turning out to be a dog for me.

Same problem here with edgy.
Proxy worked fine with ubuntu / synaptic, kubuntu / adept won't handle my proxy settings.

About adept not taking care of your proxy, I don't really know much as I'm using CLI anyway, kubuntu is working well with proxy (at least mine do) How did you set the proxy ? What program is not using the good parameters ?
