Cannot Use NDISWRAPPER with Dlink DWL-G122 Ver-C1

Hi all, I am totally new to Linux and had just installed Kubuntu.

Read about ndiswrapper and understand that it can make use of the windows drivers that comes with the USB wireless adapter.

Bought a Dlink DWL-G122 and to my surprise, the only driver provided for windows is a setup.exe

So, seems like cannot use ndiswrapper.

Any idea how to proceed?

In fact this setup should install some files in c:\windows\system32 or something no ? It should be .inf files for ndiswrapper I think...

I have the same thing and there are drivers on the cd...so you must be missing something...

1. did you use ndiswrapper with the drivers to get the USB wireless adapter working?

2. what is the name of the files?

3. how do you need to setup the Network Setting in the System Settings? How?

1. Yes
2. the .inf file located in the drivers folder on the included CD.
3. Just followed a tut on this site about setting up ndiswrapper, and then went to the Wireless Assistant application.
