Just install the Kubuntu 6.06, used NDISWRAPPER to load the WiFi driver.
Instead of going throuh the System Settings, I use Wireless Assistant 0.5.5 and my connection to the wireless router is up.
Hope it help for those who might be struggling.
Great distro, but ease of use wise, I prefer Mandriva.
