my wifi card is driving me insane, it's like my laptop doesn't want to use the net
I've just installed kubuntu on my machine and it looked realy nice. I changed the driver to fglrx, turn on the wifi card (via command line couse the gui doesn't work) and the system froze
after some hard battle (at wich the system change the wifi interface name to eth1 ) I downgraded the driver to "vesa" and managed to update the system to dappeer
I used the wifi card on the campus while on dapper turned the machine off (via the shutdown command) and went home switched the machine up, loged in went to comand line and used the ifconfig tool to find and activeate my wifi card without any success.
If I changed the network name I can see the cahnge on the wifi manager but the signal qualetty remains 0-out of range
maybe I should tell you that the laptop is about 10 cm from the router.
I don't know what alse I can do.
