How Do I Get A Dialup Connection (SOLVED)

I setup kppp just like I do in every other distro.  It goes through the motions normally until it gets to "Logging onto the network", then pppd dies.

/etc/resolv.conf is present and all the settings in kppp are correct.

I later installed Breezy and had the same problem.

Hard to believe no one had an answer...

Anyway, I fixed it.

sudo kedit /etc/ppp/peers/kppp-options

uncomment noauth.

save the file.
