Wireless card sees ESSIDs but will not connect

My built in wireless seems to be working in that I can pick up ESSIDs in the area with their signal strengths but I can't connect to my network. When I do iwconfig, my wireless shows up as being associated with eth1, not eh0. When I was installing the wireless I think the instructions indicated that it should be associated with eth0, could this be the problem?
Thanks in advance for any input!

I'm sorry to say that I don't have any answers on your question though I've got the same problem as you have described.

I can see all networks but not connect to them. When I try to connect it gets to "28%, Activation stage: configuring device." and there it stays.

I have recently installed Kubuntu Feisty Fawn, yesterday, and have not done any changes yet.

My network card is built in as well.

When I run iwconfig I get the following result:

    lo no wireless extensions.

    eth0 no wireless extensions.

    wifi0 no wireless extensions.

    ath0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"" Nickname:""

    irda0 no wireless extensions.

Is it necessary to try another driver?

I'm having exact same problem as you guys Mine only happened today though after I restarted so I'm thinking it was an update. However in Adept I can't see what last packages installed were unless I can get wired connection
