    Wireless Assistant not connecting automatically

    Hi guys!

I am using Kubuntu 6.10. and I am using the latest version of wireless Assistant to connect to my router and it works fine. The problem is every time KDE starts I have to manually execute wireless Assistant, type in the Sudo password and then connect to my router. I want it to be able to connect it automatically every time. Is there any modifications I can do to some files which will let me do that. By the way in Wireless Assistant, under Interface tap I have already selected Automatic(DHCP).

    Thanks in advanced.

try installing knetwork and make sure the wireless is shown as active. reboot and test it out. You might want to start looking in the 6.10 forums as this is for 6.06

I had the same problem but with Feisty and this worked for me, might be worth trying.
When I booted up my wireless didn't connect, so I selected to go offline from the options menu in the tray. I then clicked to go online and a dialog popped up asking if I wanted to save my wireless password in kwallet. I selected the option to always save and now my wireless connects automatically each time I boot. I left the kwallet password blank so as not to get prompted for it each time.
