I just did a fresh install of the latest Kubuntu and everything worked like a charm, right off the bat. Then I went into adept and applied all the updates, which included 2.6.17-11 kernel (the kernel from the disc install is 2.6.17-10). This caused my previously working wireless card to stop working, and disappear from the system settings screen altogether.
The laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T30 w/ internal wifi card.
Does anyone know if there is something I should be passing to the 2.6.17-11 kernel at boot time to prevent this? I tried passing pci=biosirq with no success.
Thanks!
