Wireless howto??

Is there a wireless howto anywhere, the wireless card is seen during bootup (according to dmesg) but there no lights on the card. I have tried putting the detail into the network setting but still nothing any pointers to information on how to correctly check the installation and setup.

Hi,

I think you should check in the wiki of ubuntu. Anyway, if you want to try to check if it's working I would do like this :
sudo iwconfig <interface_name> scanning
