Grub / windows problem

    Hey, thanks for your reply

    I can now select win 98 and xp seperatly,
    but xp displays a new error:

      Well - this might be serious, or it might not - you seem to have copied the section into numerous places in your menu.lst So this bit here

      Should be at the END ONLY - you have it in another three places - and in one of them the command is corrupted - like this:

      So get rid of all those bits - save the file again and have another go - fingers crossed!

        This is very strange, I cant find these in the menu.lst
        Its not there..

          OK - that would have been an easy fix - but never mind. So where we are now is - I don't know how to fix this new problem It has been reported before and some users can get away with a change in BIOS setting

          You can also try removing the hide/unhide lines from the XP as it may not need them. Alternatively Get rid of your 98 and put XP on the first partition

          If none of this works or doesn't appeal, suggest you repost with your latest error and see if anybody can help.
