    Problem booting from live CD

When it says "Mounting Root File System" stucks there for about a minute and then it displays the following things: "The drive appears confused (ireason=0x01), IRQ 169 nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)
    Disabling IRQ 169
hdc: cdrom_pc_intr the drive appears confused
and then my screen fills with that last one ("hdc: cdrom_pc_intr the drive appears confused" and i have to reset it. Any advise?
I have tried to change drive. I put the cd in the dvd-recorder (LG-H10N) but nothing. My dvd-rom is Plextor PX-116A.

this may not be your problem but try a different mirrow and burn at slower speed i reccomand 4-8x also i dont know your comuter specs but if you have less than 192 meggs of ram use the alternate download.

    i hope this helped

The live cd is the original that i have ordered from Kubuntu.org. The same cd is ok on other machines and it works fine. I have even installed kubuntu on my mom's computer that it is older than mine.
