I'm relatively new to Linux and I just installed Kubuntu 6.06.1 yesterday. A few weeks ago I installed it using the i386 Desktop CD and it worked perfectly. I then uninstalled it and put Windows XP back on because I was having so much trouble installing the wireless driver. But then yesterday I tried to install it again using the same cd but I wasn't able to. I then used another i386 Desktop CD and it also didn't work. Next I downloaded the AMD64 Desktop CD image and burned it to a cd and was able to install with no problem. Any idea as to why the i386 Desktop cd would have worked a few weeks ago but not yesterday?
