When attempting to install Kubuntu 6.06, everything seems to work properly until the screen says "Running 32gnome_power_manager...". The CPU monitor (in Virtual PC 7) indicates that the PC is working, but nothing happens with the installer beyond this point. The computer itself is not frozen. I am able to click on the "K" menu and launch programs with out any problem.
This is rather odd so I'm submitting the issue to the community at large with the hope that someone can come up with a solution.
NOTE: This issue is with the regular or live CD. In the mean time, will be trying the alternate CD and see if I have a different result. Sorry for posting this in the wrong category earlier.
