    Dual boot from bios

    My system have 2 sata drives.The primary has xp,i uplug the pwr and serial cable from the primary.
    I then istall kubuntu on the secondary,reboot works fine.I then reconnect the primary,xp boot fine.
    I then power down -powerup,change the boot order,kubuntu boot ,i get a prompt # /bin/sh: cant access tty; job control turn off.My keyboard does not respond.
    Reinstall,get the same thing .Help i am a new

    Problem solved ,i notice that during the booting process,mountig dev/sda1/ root ...failed.
    So i switch the serial cables ,all set.
    Kubuntu was looking for sda1 not sdb1 ,which is how the bios see the drives.After i reconnect the first drive.
