Display power management cause kubuntu not able to boot

I was trying to setup the display power magement in System Settings then restart the computer.

After that, I can't boot kubuntu. Any ideas where is the configuration file so that I can re-configure manually via console?

Have you tried to boot with noapic noacpi noapm as additional parameters? Hopefully this will keep power management "down and out" ...

I did

" depkg-reconfigure -phigh serverx-xorg

as mention in xorg.conf and everything works again. is it means the problem lies on the xorg.conf?
