After updating my Kubuntu, I've restarting my pc. Then, I can't login to kubuntu using my own username & password. I can login as root using recovery mode. Please help me......
The whole issue was the cmos battery. I had to remove it and place it back on the motherboard and that fixed eveything. I plan to back up the few files I have in ubuntu and re-install 5.10. As cool as 6.06 is, 5.10 never gave me any issues. I am also going to try Gentoo Linux
i have the same problem , but a CMOS battery? Are you serious? I mean i'm on board to change it but huh?! hahaha I guess that explains why i can use a live CD , change passwords...........reboot............... ANd then i'm ok to use the passwords..........but then shut the comp OFF and pow, i'm toast next time i start it up. Thats bizarre but thanks
