Dual boot with 2 HD - SATA and IDE

    Hello everyone.

I recently installed a SATA HD in my computer and installed the windows XP there. My other HD, IDE, I tryed to install kubuntu, in order to have 2 OS's, one in each disk. Well, Kubuntu installed ok, but didn't install lilo or grub. When I turn on the computer I get only Windows. How do I manage this to get 2 OS 's up?

I had a simliar problem here:http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...33207#msg33207 however, I had both OS's installed to the SATA drive.
For some reason GRUB isn't installing to your SATA drive. During setup, when qtparted is showing you what's available for disks, do you see your SATA drive on that screen? Also, double check your BIOS to make sure your SATA drive is the primary drive. My bios is misleading. My SATA drive is the 3rd Primary "IDE" channel, but there is another setting, where I change the priority of each hard drive. Not the same as boot priority. Each BIOS is different obviously, so do some looking.

    Hope this helps,
