boot from cd version burnt to dvd?

Hi, is it possible to dowload the cd install version, burn it to a dvd?

It would just take a lot less time to download and get on with it!

Sure you can. You'll just be wasting a good portion of the DVD's usable space. If you're on a Windows computer, use Alchohol or Nero to burn the ISO to a DVD or a CD. I have to ask though...why not just download the CD version and burn it to a CD?

Thank you. Ah yes - just that I don't have any cds to hand to burn onto, I have some dvdr-s. Actually K3b wouldn't let me burn an iso of a cd onto a dvd. I'm now trying the dvd version (downloaded it overnight).

That's weird. An ISO is an ISO, I could have a 5mb ISO file and burn it to a DVD. Not all DVD ISO's are 4.7GB.

I wish I had an ISO file handy to try K3b, heh.
