Kubuntu 6.06.1 Live DVD doesnt boot

    Hello,
I have a problem with the live dvd kubuntu-6.06.1-dvd-i386.iso.
On one special Desktop PC the only menu item that works is boot from Harddisk.
All other menu entries lead to instant lockup of the system.
The DVD is o.k. md5sum tested, and works fine on another PC (different hardware).
The problem PC boots every thing i throw on it: XP, Knoppix, Debian, Suse, BartPE, RipLinux, ...
So I think theres is something special with this iso of kubuntu, because I had also no success with earlier Version of kubuntu (some month ago) on this pc. The recommended use of sbm.bin to
boot first from floppy and then from dvd doesnt help.
    Has someone a solution ?

    Bye Herb

No, i did not try the cd,
but i found a solution for the kubuntu dvd boot:
on the dvd boot menu press escape (is that somewhere documented ?),
confirm the message box (you are leaving the graphical menu ...)
      On the boot prompt type
      install preseed/file=/cdrom/preseed/kubuntu.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.gz ramdisk_size=1048576 root=/dev/ram rw --

That is the standard install commandline without params quiet and splash.
I am posting from the booted live dvd, seems to work fine.
