    kernel panic 42.856218 when trying to boot liveCD or install

    Are there boot options I can try to avoid this error? The MD5 sum of my download is:

    c1d989ea882de32c46bcc4bfd3e72a78 kubuntu-6.06.1-dvd-amd64.iso

    I have verified my DVD burn.
