Okay, I am upgrading my 5.10 system by doing a clean install on two new hard drives (thankfully). Trying desperately to get things working with software raid1 between the two drives - I have this EXACT setup humming along nicely in 5.10.
The computer is an older athlon system without fakeraid.
Partition scheme:
/boot = /dev/md0 (/dev/hda1 /dev/hdc1)
/ = /dev/md1 (/dev/hda2 /dev/hdc2)
/tmp = /dev/hda3
/var = /dev/hdc3
/usr = /dev/md2 (/dev/hda6 /dev/hdc6)
/home = /dev/md3 (/dev/hda7 /dev/hdc7)
I managed to get the raid setup and working from the live dvd. But there is no apparent way to tell the installer "/home = /dev/md3"! I have tried a few different hacks like installing to one hard drive, then trying to re-create the raid, but I have not managed to boot successfully. The closest I can get is a bunch of superblock/fsck errors...
Please help!
