CD boot and installation hangs on "Starting Bluetooth Services..."

    Hi all,
This is my first post here and first kubuntu installation.
Booting from from the 6.06 CD hangs displaying:
    Starting Bluetooth Services...

I managed to get it to boot and then install by adding noacpi to the startup options but now when booting from the hard drive it still hangs at the the same place. Ive tried adding noacpi again but the same message appears.

MSI Megabook Laptop 1.7 Pent. M.
    60G HDD
    512M RAM

    Can anyone help me please?
    Thanks in advance

I believe that you're correct, "noacpi" should help your problem, however, I think you'd be a lot better off (providing you can get along without it) by instead uisng "acpi=off". "noacpi" prevents the kernel from checking acpi during boot, but I'm not sure that it stops the boot process from actually starting acpi.

There are several steps in the boot process between starting bluetooth and starting acpi, but most of them just start daemons that only do things later, so I suspect that your problem arises when acpi is actually started. If this does solve your problem, you can add it to the default options in your /boot/grub/menu.lst file.
