[Fixed:]Kernel Message Re: Backup Boot Sectors

Running Kubuntu Dapper, just installed, and receiving a boot message I've never seen before.  The kernel runns dosfsck on my filesystem and reports out (not exact, but a close paraphrase)

    /Dev/Hda5
Differences between boot sector and its backup
    Differences (Offset:Original/Backup)
    65:f4/f6
    Not automatically fixing this

If the kernel won't fix it automatically, how do I fix it proactively?  Where would these backup boot sectors be found?  What are their filenames?  Can I safely delete them?

    TIA

Re: [Fixed:]Kernel Message Re: Backup Boot Sectors

What the kernel was telling me to do was to run the Linux equivalent of chkdsk (dosfsck) on my filesystems. I did that - taking care to umount each first, recreated the bootsector backups, and now I get the minimalist graphic bootup, and it's a lot faster. It always pays to listen to your kernel ..
