Grub Screen prob

Im trying to change the look of my grub screen but have had no luck with doing it. Now i want to undo what i have done how can i do this?

I followed most of the instructions on this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/US...omizationHowto

I did up to #3 and the konsole said gcc wasnt a command or somethin so I stopped and now my grub screen is messed up.

Could you post your /boot/grub/menu.lst so we could have a look at it
