    Memory limitation during install

I'm trying, so far unsucessfully, to install kubuntu 6.06 on a laptop that is maxxed out at 128MB of RAM.
I'm trying to use the Live CD, which works fine on my real PC (1gb RAM).

Is it possible? Am I wasting my time?

The graphical installer on the Desktop (Live) CD needs at least 192 Mb of ram...I suggest you try the *Alternate (text mode) installer CD"...it's available from kubuntu.org download page (You can probably get it elsewhere as well)

Cool. Is there a source of documentation for using this installation method?

      Thanks!

        Hi,

In fact, it's exactly the same steps as the graphical one... You should have no troubles if you had none with the graphical one

        Cheers
