I don't get into my kubuntu........
My laptop has an onboard Intel GMA 900 graphics,
Intel Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz processor,
1 Gig of DDR2 memory (kingston),
and a 60GB hd....
But if I press CTRL ALT F1, and log in manually, then press startx I get the following:
(WW) I810: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0:2:1) found
(EE) I810:No Video Bios modes for chosen depth.
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.
Fatal server error:
no screens found
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"
after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
I've tried something, i connected my LCD screen from my normal computer to the laptop, and suddently kubuntu starts up!!
Not on my desktop LCD, but on my Laptop LCD
And I must say that when I was in kubuntu, the LCD said every minute:
"LCD changed: Display on" or something like that...
Is it now clearer for some people??
Looks familiar?
Please help me!!
Yours,
Nick
