    A question about partitions

I'm just wondering if Kubuntu will work if I use a logical type partition instead of a primary one. I'm wondering because when I create a primary partition, I'm unable to create a logical type one for the linux swap partition. However I am able to create 2 logical type partitions.

    Re: A question about partitions

AFAIK windows only has problems booting from non primary partitions. When I started experimenting with many many distros I had up to 6 distros running off one harddrive (gee 100 gig was so much back then) and the first 3 partitions were used by windows (yeah you can *make* it store /usr and /home elseware), so the entirity of all the linux distros were on partitions in a logical volume, with no problems to speak of, you could even creat a 'swap file' and mount it if you like....
