Can't login to Kubuntu Session after install on Ubuntu

    Hey Everyone.

As the subject says I can't login to a kubuntu session after I installed on ubuntu with "apt-get install kubuntu-desktop"

The install seemed to go fine, at the end I got a message asking if I wanted to change my default session, and maybe that is where I messed up. I stuck with GNOME. Anyways, after the install I logged off, changed my session to "KDE", but then I got the message:

"Could Not Start kstartupconfig. Check your installation" "Okay"

    then the next dialog said:

"Your session only lasted 10 seconds or less..."

and after clicking on "view ~/.xsession-errors" I got this log:

/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp
    /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/bin/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l ":0" "pmorrison"
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...

So I'm a bit of a noob, but with a head on my shoulders. I tried restarting, and all that stuff. Tried "apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop" then re-installing, but of course that doesn't help much. My boot screens have changed to kubuntu, as well as the login screen, and I can load gnome no problem. I even installed xubuntu-desktop and the install worked fine.

So can anyone help a noob out? Thanks!

Have you tried manually creating /home/pmorrison/.kde/share?
