    floppy boot

    Hello,
I would like to install kbuntu into a computer without cd-boot.

I have notice that Kbuntu does not come with floppy image, is there any way to get / make a floppy image?

    Thanks.

    Re: floppy boot

    If you need bootdisks:

    Smart Boot Manager
    http://linux.simple.be/tools/sbm
"This nifty little floppy bootdisk allows selecting various devices to boot from a menu, and even allows booting a CD-ROM in machines where the BIOS doesn't support it. If your BIOS supposedly supports booting from a CD-ROM, but that feature isn't working, this disk might be just what you need!"

    or

    Bootdisk.com
    http://www.bootdisk.com/
    Before you edit, BACKUP !

Why there are dead links ?

I think the 'Alternate (text mode) Installer CD' has SBM floppy image (at least it was on previous text mode installer CDs)

Frist of all, thanks for your reply.

I tried the alternate CD before posting, and i did not find any image.

I am used and tired of making custom images, I only need them to boot from floppy ,so Smart Boot Manager have been a great discovery for me

          Again thanks for your help
